Honeymoons in Cancun
Planning Your Honeymoon Vacation in Cancun

The best thing about a Cancun honeymoon, next to being in Paradise with your betrothed, is the city’s proximity to the United States. Just a short plane trip past Miami, you’ll be sipping margaritas in no time—and in a different country to boot! You’ll also be in the Caribbean, known for Spring Break, all-night parties, and pretty much anything else you can think and drink of. Cancun hosts one of the most beautiful stretches of sand on the globe, and some of the most romantic hotels this side of, well, paradise.

Casa des los Suenos
There are only eight rooms in this B&B paradise, on the tiny island of Isla Mujeras, a twenty-minute boat trip from Cancun’s hotel zone. Children and TV’s are not allowed, so you can spend more time adrift in the affinity pool gazing out over the city’s high-rises (and each other!).  Cycles and golf carts are available for some exploring on the five-mile-long island, and snorkeling is a must. If you can spot an employee on the premises—people seem hidden in the bougainvillea—ask him to whip up a couple of honeymoon-worthy tropical drinks and lounge by the pool. There’s no place like this home.

Hilton Hotel, Cancun
If eight pools facing the sea aren’t enough, you might try 18 holes on the only full golf course in Cancun. The Hilton also has five restaurants, two bars, and the largest beach area around. You can stay in one of the lux main rooms, or reserve a bungalow just steps away from the water.  (The vista is the second most beautiful thing you’ll see when you wake up in the morning.) There’s also volleyball, jogging trails, a full-service spa and fitness center, and some dreamy swim-up bars. The Hilton’s a big place for your big new life together.

The Ritz-Carlton Cancun
There’s a reason why this particular Ritz has won more awards than Hepburn and Davis combined: It’s honeymoon royalty. Each room is faced toward the sea, and each one has a balcony, natch. On top of the roof (and your world), there’s a tennis court, and the pool area looks like it was dreamed out of Gatsby’s book. The hotel also boasts two of the best restaurants in the Caribbean, and…did they sprinkle rose petals while you were out shopping? Our advice: Ask for the margarita bath: When you come back from a swim, the tub will be filled with bubbles, candles, and a pitcher of margaritas for you to enjoy, with your rubber duckies, of course.

Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun
Built under giant palapas, and facing the lagoon, this is one of the more charming hotels in the Zone. Amenities abound:  Eight recently refurbished floors means three restaurants and two bars—you’re not going to have to go far to satisfy any cravings.  The hotel’s unique spot in the Hotel Zone puts you at the center for day-trips to popular attractions like Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Chichen-Itza, and Tulum. We know you’ve got enough attractions to keep you occupied, but make sure to visit at least one of the wonderful outside wonders the Mexican Caribbean has to offer.
